Where?
Grace Community Church is sited in the heart of the glorious South East Cornwall countryside just three miles from the historic fishing port and holiday resort of Looe.
Our church building is a converted potato shed and our manse an ex farmhouse. Eight years ago, an opportunity arose to buy the 7 acre field just behind the church and to use the adjacent 3 acre field, and, with God's direction, we began to plan a Bible Week.
Standing on a hill in the hamlet of Morval, the church has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside to the sea. The church can be found just off the A387, with easy access to the A38 and M5.
This year will be our eighth and each year so far we have expanded our ministry and been blessed beyond measure.
In practical terms, our family of churches (which includes our two church plants at Torpont and Bodmin) has whole-heartedly embraced the chance to give, serve and bless the wider church in this country and each year more than 150 members of our three congregations use their gifts in whatever way they can to ensure the smooth running of the week.
The servant-heartedness of the Grace family has often been remarked on by our visitors and, along with the teaching, this seems to be what makes our Bible Week such a blessing to our guests. Many guests return year after year and are now counted as dear friends.
This year the Bible Week ministries will be held in three marquees, one seating 600 for the adults, one very large one divided into "zones" for children over three and under twelve, and one for the youth. Our church building becomes a café and a place of real fellowship - and occasionally a refuge from the Cornish weather!
